Notice of Public Hearing

The Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg shall hold a public hearing on Monday, March 12, 2018, commencing at 6:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers at the Gettysburg Borough Municipal Building located at 59 East High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

The purposes of the public hearing is for the Borough Council to inform and obtain public comment prior to taking formal action regarding the intended enactment of proposed text amendments to the Gettysburg Borough Zoning Ordinance. The proposed text amendments would add definitions for "Bicycle Parking" and "Public Parking Facility" and would revise the definition for "Transit Facility" in Part 2 of the Zoning Ordinance. The proposed text amendments to Part 13, Parking, Loading and Unloading, of the Zoning Ordinance would provide certain relaxed standards and streamlined procedures for the satisfaction of minimum parking space requirements. In addition, the proposed text amendments would add a new subsection for the requirement and regulation of bicycle parking and would add new sections for shared parking and the reduction of required parking spaces. The draft ordinance containing the proposed text amendments to the Gettysburg Borough Zoning Ordinance may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof at the Office of the Borough of Gettysburg from the Borough Secretary during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.). In addition, the draft ordinance containing proposed text amendments may be downloaded from the Gettysburg Borough website at www.gettysburgpa.gov.
