Peter Bales

Over the past fifteen years, Peter Bales has been dedicated to advancing the Hospitality Industry in downtown Gettysburg. His decade-long tenure at the Historic Gettysburg Hotel, starting from Mclellans Tavern, includes notable contributions such as the launch of Starbucks and his role as the Restaurant and Bar Manager at One Lincoln. In 2019, Mr. Bales assumed the position of General Manager, overseeing the successful openings of The Upper Crust, Borough BBQ, and Lulu’s Finest Ice Cream. In his role as Senior Operator for these establishments, Peter employs a forward-thinking and strategic approach to leadership and solutions management.

A proud alumnus of Gettysburg High School, Peter Bales earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Criminal Justice from Mount St. Mary’s University in 2014. Additionally, he holds a Management Certification from Cornell University. With a vision to infuse hospitality principles into small government and the wider community, Peter resides in Gettysburg with his two daughters attending St. Francis Xavier School. Committed to his Catholic faith, Mr. Bales upholds the Judeo/Christian values embedded in our Constitution.
