Matthew (Matt) Moon

Matthew Moon is the Director of Patron Services for the Majestic Theater and is an avid proponent of social justice and Progressive Democratic policy. A native of New York State’s Finger Lakes Region, and having lived for 17 years in San Francisco, Matthew has been an environmental activist, has always been active in local political action, and has worked as a professional in the Arts for his entire adult life. Public service and customer service being closely tied in his mind, Moon believes in giving back and helping people when and wherever he can.

As a father of two school aged children and a home owner in Gettysburg, Moon believes that progressive policy at the local level improves the lives of our neighbors. He has stated that he will work hard to ensure that Gettysburg continues to be a happy and healthy place to both raise a family and to live for years to come. Strong environmental protection, forward thinking, and fiscal responsibility are key in a government that works for all citizens, and provides a safe and prosperous place for even the most vulnerable amongst us to thrive. He has a strong background in personnel and project management and will bring his skills to bear for the people of Gettysburg.

Matthew is a musician, a chef, and a craftsman. He volunteers with groups such as Gettysburg Rising, has owned a small business here in the borough, and understands the challenges that working families face in the 21st century.
