Notice of Public Hearing and Special Meeting

The Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg shall hold a public hearing consistent with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Neighborhood Improvement District Act on Monday, July 12, 2021, commencing at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Gettysburg Borough Municipal Building located at 59 East High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment from affected property owners within the Steinwehr Avenue, Heart of Gettysburg Battlefield Neighborhood Improvement District located in the Borough of Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, relative to the continuation of the said Neighborhood Improvement District and the extension of its term of existence for a period of an additional seven (7) years beyond its previously extended termination date of December 31, 2021. The reauthorization and extension of term of existence request is set forth in a preliminary Neighborhood Improvement District Plan, dated June 14, 2021, which has been submitted to the Borough Council for its consideration and review in connection with the reenactment of the enabling ordinance creating and establishing the said Neighborhood Improvement District.

Immediately following the conclusion of the public hearing, the Borough Council shall convene a special meeting. The purpose of the special meeting will be for the Borough Council to determine whether to adopt the proposed preliminary plan as a final plan for the reauthorization of the Steinwehr Avenue, Heart of Gettysburg Battlefield Neighborhood Improvement District. Or, in the alternative, the Borough Council may consider whether any changes or revisions to the preliminary plan are required based upon the comments and information presented and received at the public hearing.
