COVID-19 Special Appropriations and 2020 Projects

The Borough Council of the Borough of Gettysburg will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, commencing at 6:30 p.m., prevailing time, immediately prior to the monthly work session of Borough Council, as previously scheduled with prior public notice published and provided for the work session. Both the special meeting and the subsequent work session will be conducted by means of telecommunications devices using the remote platform Zoom due to the COVID-19 disaster emergency. The Borough Council special meeting and its monthly work session will both be broadcast via live streaming by Community Media, www.communitymedia.net, as well as via the “Gettysburg Borough” Facebook page and the “Gettysburg Boro Police Department” Facebook page. Gettysburg Borough residents and/or taxpayers of the Borough desiring to participate by providing public comment during the special meeting or during the monthly work session must preregister with the Borough no later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, by contacting Charles R. Gable, MPA, Borough Manager either by e-mail, cgable@gettysburgpa.gov, or by telephone, (717) 334-1160, ext. 222. Each registrant for public comment will be provided with an access code to join the special meeting or the work session through the Zoom platform. The purpose of the special meeting will be for the Borough Council to consider and authorize memoranda of understanding in connection with union collective bargaining agreements relative to the possible voluntary furloughing of Borough police and non-uniform employees and to act on any other matters or items of business that may come before Borough Council. Proposed agendas for the special meeting and the work session will be posted and made available on the Gettysburg Borough website, www.gettysburgpa.gov, on or before Friday, May 22, 2020.
