Gettysburg Police Request Help to Identify Bank Robbery Suspects

On June 15th at approx. 11:30 AM The Gettysburg Police Department was dispatched to a Bank Robbery in progress at BB&T Bank located at 29 Washington St. in Gettysburg Borough.  The attached still photos show a lone suspect entering the bank.  The Suspect picked up items from the counter and started throwing it at the employees demanding money.   The suspect them left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect then ran south on Washington St. turned east on Water St. where he got into a red or maroon Nissan sedan with unknown registration waiting.  The vehicle is believed to have driven from the area eastbound on Water St.  Several police agencies responded and assisted with the search of the area.  The suspects are still at large.  The attached photos are of the suspect at the bank and the getaway vehicle from Water St.  Investigators discovered that these same actors are suspected of committing other recent bank robberies in Maryland.  Investigators are in contact with those agencies. There is believed to be no continuing danger to area residents as the suspect fled the area.  Anyone who may have witnessed the crime or may be able to assist in identifying the suspect(s) are asked to call Gettysburg Police at (717)334-8101.
