League SUMMIT in Gettysburg provides educational, network development and best practice sharing opportunities for PA municipal officials

WHAT: Elected and appointed municipal officials from across the Commonwealth will gather in Gettysburg for the 120th Annual Summit of the Pennsylvania Municipal League (PML). The event will kick off with a playground project at Gettysburg’s Rec Park where municipal officials will join partner and community volunteers to help build a playground for area children.
WHY: The League Summit provides a platform for the sharing of best practices, networking opportunities, the adoption of policy, the election of officers, and a one-stop shop for municipal products/services. This educational event includes a full agenda of sessions designed to address the needs of Pennsylvania municipal officials and their communities, including: Sustainable PA Cyber Café; Building an Integrated Energy Strategy; Unemployment 101; Construction, Procurement and Privatization; Dedicated Wireless Communications Ecosystem; Why Vulnerable Populations Need Compassionate Cities; Allentown – A City Combating Child Hunger; Investing Municipal Funds; Municipal Social Media Scandals; Improving Partnerships: Utility Coordination; Building a Stronger Community Through Communication; Pilot Study with PA Campuses and Communities; Legislative Update; Identifying Your Community’s Top Security Concerns; and Main Street Project Overview.
