Christmas Tree Lighting Event

On Friday November 23rd, 2018 the annual Gettysburg Christmas tree lighting event will occur. This event signifies the start of the holiday Christmas season within the Borough. The Christmas tree lighting event will start at 5pm and will end at 7pm.

Throughout the Square and the 1st blocks, No parking signs will be posted with the message “No Parking after 3pm.” For those coming to Gettysburg to watch the event, parking at those bagged spaces will be allowed until 3pm. Any vehicle that continues to park past 3pm will be issued a violation and possibly towed.

The Borough understands that the 23rd marks an important business retail day. As such we encourage business owners to spread the word to customers simply to remind them that if they park near the center of town that they would have to move after 3pm.
