Gettysburg Garden Club Annual Christmas Greens and Gourmet Gifts Sale

Gettysburg Garden Club members are a familiar presence at Lincoln Square. Drivers passing by honk horns and give a thumbs up as they clean the square in preparation for summer plantings. Horns honk again when club members remove or cut back plantings and spread mulch in preparation for winter. Keeping florals in Lincoln Square and nearby hanging baskets is a labor of love, a delightful aesthetic that residents and visitors enjoy. Yet doing so takes funds. 

The club’s annual Christmas Greens and Gourmet Gifts Sale benefits the Lincoln Square Flower Gardens and scholarships for Adams County college students majoring in horticulture-related fields. This year’s sale is Saturday, December 3, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Gettysburg Fire Hall, 35 North Stratton Street.  As in previous years, the community can expect the same range and quality of handcrafted arrangements created by members. Cash, credit cards, or checks are accepted.

There will be wreaths, swags, candles, and large to small table arrangements. All decorations have natural greens from the yards and farms of club members and the community. In addition, delicious gourmet selections for humans, dogs, and cats will return with the same taste that customers enjoy each year. The sale is a perfect way to kick off the holiday season.  Arrive early and browse through the wide range of selections. 

A project this large can always use extra hands. The Gettysburg Garden Club welcomes new members and volunteers. Attend monthly meetings featuring a guest speaker, learn from the club’s master gardeners, and make new friends. Questions about the sale?
