Gettysburg, PA (February 14, 2018) –  In a unanimous vote, the seven members of the Gettysburg Borough Council voted to approve the Baltimore Street Historic Pathway Economic Revitalization Master Plan prepared by Borough Engineer C.S. Davidson, Inc.  The findings of the plan were obtained through the Baltimore Street Historic Pathway Economic Revitalization Committee and facilitated through the collaborative leadership of Main Street Gettysburg, Inc.

“This plan was grass-roots driven by more than 80 property owners and stakeholders of the District.  We have held many meetings and presentations since the Project Mapproject started in 2015 and we are so thrilled to have a completed and approved Master Plan.  We still have a long way to go with this project, but this was a huge accomplishmStreetscapeent for the community” said Main Street Gettysburg President, Deb Adamik.

The Master Plan lays the groundwork for funding and grant requests to revitalize Baltimore Street with $11M of improvements in three phases that stretch between the southern Borough line with Gettysburg College the northern anchor of the plan.  It includes new infrastructure, beautification, pedestrian and bicycle amenities, improved safety measures and historic features focusing on Abraham Lincoln.  To learn more, go to www.mainstreetgettysburg.org/baltimore-street.
