Parking Enforcement Officer (PT)

Position performs routine parking enforcement work involving the issuance of parking fines or citations throughout the Borough. Work is performed in accordance with established rules and regulations governing parking laws and the Borough Code of Ordinances.

Work may be performed during regular business hours, assigned shifts, and/or at all other times as may be necessary due to schedules and emergencies.

The employee works under the direct supervision of the Parking Manager, or in his/her absence, the Parking Group Leader or Borough Manager. Employees may have contact with other Borough offices to resolve problems and with the public for the purpose of relaying factual information or explaining simple procedures.

2023 hiring rate is $15.08/hr

Many different Authorities, Boards and Commissions (ABCs) have been formed to support Gettysburg Borough's elected officials and staff. Those individuals who devote their time, energy, and know-how to the ABCs are a vital part of Gettysburg's governance. The Borough could not function without them. Please consider joining and ABC and how you can help your local officials make your community even stronger than it already is.

With some regularity, Borough Council is seeking enthusiastic citizen-volunteers to serve on one of the many Authorities, Boards, and Commissions (ABCs). Each of these bodies serves a specific function in municipal governance and are vital to the overall health and vitality of the community. If you wish to be considered for appointment to one of these ABCs, please complete the ABC Appointment Application and email it to Sara Stull, Asst. Borough Manager/Secretary. The application may also be dropped off in person to the Borough Receptionist or mailed to the Borough Building. 

Qualifications to serve on an ABC:

• Resident within the political boundaries of the Borough of Gettysburg
• Citizen of the United States of America
• Age of 18 years old.
